Prince of PersiaSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Evil Jaffar (the Vizier of the Shah of Persia, the last wandering in a war far away from his kingdom) locks away the Persian Princess with an ultimatum: either marry Jaffar or die within an hour. You must navigate the dungeon (where the Princess is imprisoned) and stop Vizier before time runs out! You have to survive a variety of resistance along the way. You must avoid deadly traps, solve some simple puzzles and engage in sword fights with the guards. The Princess' room is guarded by Jaffar though...! Prince of Persia has a pretty interesting gameplay that sometimes gets a bit frustrating as it is difficult at times to avoid traps. The game was released for the Amstrad CPC, Amiga, Atari ST,PC Engine, Sega CD, Mega Drive, DOS, NES, SNES, Game Boy, GBC, Apple IIGS and MAC OS. Enough said! You've got only 60 minutes!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Back to the days, it was impossible to write such a game for the ZX Spectrum, because the hardware was too weak and in 1993 the ZX hardware was already at its dawn. In 1995, Magic Soft released an official playable demo running in black and white but the final version did not get the green light for release. The ZX Spectrum version finally came to life in 1996, in Russia, by Nicodim! The game runs on the 128k systems only and the graphics are well colored and pretty good, containing all of the original details. The game looks a bit better than the CPC version (although it has less colors) and the characters are impressively animated! As for this version's sound, the ZX features the original intro music but most of the in-game sound effects we found on the CPC, are missing.
